If you’re a health-related not-for-profit organisation in the Nelson, Marlborough or Tasman region and you have a project that will improve health outcomes in our community, The Care Foundation would love to hear from you.

We fund initiatives that make a direct and meaningful difference to health — whether through our hospitals or through community-based health services. Our funding decisions are guided by the Our Focus areas below.

Before submitting your enquiry, please note that we generally do not fund:

  • Individuals

  • Core operational or administration expenses including salaries

  • Infrastructure

  • Vehicles

  • Secondhand equipment

  • Registration fees or travel

  • Areas seen to be the responsibility of central or local Government or other funders

  • Multi-year funding.
